In March 2020, the Planning Inspector concluded that the Local Plan was not lawfully compliant, as Sevenoaks District Council had failed to co-operate with neighbouring councils.
However, this has been contested by Sevenoaks District Council and backed up by the neighbouring councils. Therefore, in April 2020 Judicial Review proceedings began to reverse the Inspector’s decision, which was also supported by three MP’s that represent the Sevenoaks District.
The High Court has now granted permission for the Judicial Review. Bloomfields will be monitoring the situation and aim to report further in due course.
