Rother District Council are currently consulting on the main modifications to its draft Development and Site Allocations Local Plan, the deadline being 10th September 2019.  This draft plan allocates sites for housing, commercial and other uses as well as setting out detailed planning policies for development management.

The plan sets out that 5,700 homes are required over the plan period, with 100,000 square metres of business floor space to be provided in line with the Core Strategy.

The deadline is fast approaching so now is the time to comment upon the main changes that the Council propose to make to the Local Plan so that these can be considered by the Inspector as part of the procedure to verify that the Local Plan is acceptable, or ‘sound’.
