Prior to the submission of the full planning application, Bloomfields undertook a Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Opinion to ensure that a thorough assessment of the development’s potential impact upon the environment was completed. This assessment concluded that a Screening Opinion was not required and that the development could go ahead.
Once this was secured, planning permission was obtained for the reservoir following a thorough agricultural justification and reasoning. Bloomfields represented the client at planning committee to ensure a successful outcome and then discharged all of the planning conditions without delay.
Alongside the planning process, Bloomfields worked with Natural England to obtain a District Licence for the Great Crested Newts that colonise the vicinity of the proposal site, to ensure that there were no delays in the development built out.
