Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has launched a new “Call for Sites” exercise as part of the review of the Tunbridge Wells Local Plan.
The Local Plan Review will help shape development across the borough between 2029 and 2044 and follows the adoption of the current Local Plan in December 2025. The review will be carried out under the Government’s new plan-making regulations introduced in March 2026.
Residents, landowners, developers, community groups and other stakeholders are invited to submit potential development sites for consideration. Submissions can include land for housing, employment, community and leisure uses, green open space, nature conservation, Gypsy and Traveller pitches, and other uses.
The Call for Sites opened on 11 May 2026 and will close at midnight on 3 August 2026.
Sites submitted will be assessed by the Council to determine whether they are suitable, available and achievable for development. Submission of a site does not guarantee allocation within the Local Plan or planning permission.
Further information and the online submission form are available on the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council website.
