In addition to providing the usual road signage, it was a pleasure to sponsor the children’s competitions this year at the Laughton & District Ploughing match. The event was a great success with team members themselves being placed in various cookery sections:
- Nicola Thomas won 1st prize for her (husband’s!) chutney
- Will Mathias won 1st prize for his home grown tomatoes and took 3rd for his Sloe Gin
- Beth Watts claimed a most respected 3rd prize for her cheese scones
- “Proud Mummy of the Day” was Claire Little whose daughter, Sophie, won the edible necklace competition!
Despite a downpour, The Weald of Kent Ploughing Match was well attended. It was a pleasure to catch up with clients old and new, and offer our free advice on a variety of matters.
Whilst to cap the season off, the sun shone for the East Kent Ploughing Match just outside Margate which was equally well attended and enjoyed by all.
