Ashford Borough Council has reopened its “Call for Sites” as part of its Regulation 18 Local Plan consultation. This provides an opportunity for landowners, developers and other interested parties to suggest sites they would like to be considered as part of the emerging Ashford Borough Local Plan. The Council is inviting submissions of a broad range, including:
- Housing
- Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation
- Employment
- Community Uses
- Tourism
- Energy Generation
- Nutrient Neutrality mitigation land
- Biodiversity Net Gain
- Local Green Spaces
Sites must be capable to accommodating 5+ dwellings or economic development on sites of 0.25 hectares (or 500 metres of floorspace) and above. These could include vacant or derelict land, or opportunities for strategic conversions or extensions to existing buildings. The deadline for site submissions is 5pm on Monday 13th October 2025.
