Another barn conversion allowed under Class Q

Following a site appraisal regarding the conversion of this architecturally interesting building incorporating brick, flint and buttress features, Bloomfields were instructed to prepare a Class Q application for the change of use of the building from agricultural use to a dwelling-house under permitted development.

Our planning and architectural team worked closely together to prepare a design which would both meet the client’s requirements for a home, while still meeting the relevant criteria of the permitted development rights, making a strong case for its conversion.

Following submission of the application to the local authority, Bloomfields were able to negotiate with the case officer where necessary and were very pleased to be able to deliver a successful result for the client.
