Bloomfields were able to successfully regularise the change of use of agricultural land to equestrian use.
Bloomfields’ client did not realise that they required planning permission until they received a letter from the council enforcement team, having let their land to some local horse owners for equestrian use. This provided a form of diversification for a piece of unproductive land.
The change of use did not meet the council’s policy for equestrian development. However Bloomfields were able to work with the planning officer and their client to put forward a scheme that was acceptable to the council.
