Bloomfields were engaged on this scheme to deal with an enforcement case for the siting of Mobile Homes on a self-sustaining agricultural small holding. The team were able to effectively negotiate with the Officers and advise the client from a strategic perspective, taking account of the entire site, the best options available to them.
An application for Prior Approval to convert a packing shed on site to two dwelling houses under the provisions of Class Q was therefore submitted. Due to the site’s location in flood zone 3, the Case Officer would have otherwise been inclined to refuse the scheme. However, Bloomfields were able to provide robust evidence and strategy regarding the structural stability of the building and safe evacuation routes which ultimately secured an approval.
Bloomfields have therefore effectively provided their client with an alternative option for accommodation which allows them to continue living on site in enhanced dwelling houses.
