After the site was found to also have a bat and reptile presence, as well as an Ancient Oak Tree adjacent to its access, the planning team at Bloomfields were able to work closely with our ecology consultants and collaboratively with Landscape, Biodiversity and Tree Officers at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to demonstrate that the proposed conversion of the agricultural building to a dwellinghouse would not result in harm, but rather result in an overall biodiversity net gain.
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council subsequently granted planning permission and accepted that the scheme would have a minimal impact on the landscape character of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Metropolitan Green Belt and would respect existing and surrounding built form in the locality.
Following the grant of planning permission, the rural sales team at Lambert & Foster were able to complete the sale of the property, providing a favourable outcome for both the vendor and purchaser.
