Conversion of office building to dwelling house

Full planning permission has been granted for the conversion of a detached office building to a single dwelling house with associated parking, adjacent to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within an area at risk of flooding.

Within the application, Bloomfields provided a robust case that the conversion of the building would help meet local housing need and that the office use was no longer required due to its rural location and poor service connections.

Whilst the site is located within a flood zone, the application was supported by a comprehensive flood risk assessment with flood mitigation measures being recommended and accepted by the Local Planning Authority.
