New dwelling approved in Green Belt

The original building was previously refused planning permission for conversion as it could not be achieved ‘without major reconstruction’ and it then collapsed during the storms of October 2013.

However, a robust case was submitted in favour of a new building and the Council was persuaded that there would not be any material impact on the openness of the Green Belt and “would result in buildings which would represent a positive contribution to the rural locality”.
