New sports hall for college

Bloomfields has secured planning permission for a new sports hall for MidKent College as part of the next phase in a £40+ million project to develop the Maidstone Campus, which now incorporates the former University for the Creative Arts site at Oakwood Park. The hall forms a major element of a package of improvements that will provide facilities to equal the high standard already achieved in first phase works.

The new building will incorporate a sports hall which can accommodate four badminton courts, changing rooms, a gym, studios and therapy rooms. The hall and gym will be open for membership to members of the public as well as students.

Bloomfields is proud to continue its successful partnership with MidKent college which has extended over a decade and includes obtaining planning permission for its £86 million Medway campus and the residential redevelopment of its two former sites in Chatham and Rochester.
