Planning permission was originally granted for the conversion of a stable building into a residential dwelling, however, structural issues were identified following the implementation of the permission which resulted in a large portion of the building being removed.
Council Enforcement Officers determined that the work carried out went beyond what could be considered as a conversion, therefore Bloomfields were approached to prepare a planning application which justified the erection of a new dwelling on the basis that it would include as much of the original structure as possible in its construction, with other external alterations proposed to align visually as closely with the previously approved dwelling, the recent approval of which was demonstrated as a relevant material consideration. The application was subsequently approved.
