Bloomfields have successfully secured retrospective planning permission for the change of use of land to a mixed-use comprising Class E and Class B8 uses and the retention of existing ancillary buildings and structures for a site located in the Metropolitan Green Belt.

The site was subject of an ongoing planning enforcement investigation therefore Bloomfields were approached to provide preliminary advice and devise a strategy to attempt to regularise the unauthorised developments occurring.

A planning application was subsequently submitted to the relevant local planning authority which demonstrated that the proposal for the material change in use of land and retention of existing ancillary buildings and structures did not constitute a form of inappropriate development in the Green Belt and met the requirements of both national and local planning policy.
