Storage to residential use

Despite not having a defined storage and distribution use on site, Bloomfields were able to demonstrate that the building and yard were in a storage and distribution use, and could therefore benefit from the Class P permitted development rights to change the use from storage to residential.

A robust set of evidence was provided to the Council to demonstrate this use, including historic photos and Statutory Declarations.

The client now has the opportunity to provide a residential unit or consider a larger residential scheme instead of their car sales garage and storage area within the Metropolitan Green Belt.
