Lewes District Council to begin their next stage of consultation over the new Lewes District Local Plan.
Phase one of the consultation that will run week commencing Monday 6 January 2025 until 5pm on Friday 28 February 2025, is on the detailed polices for the plan area and will consider sites within towns and a limited number of villages. The second phase consultation is due to take place later in the 2025 and will have a greater emphasis on more rural parts of the district, whilst also re-evaluating areas considered during phase one.
The new Local Plan will set out where future development will take place, such as new homes and locations for business growth, as well as the local policy requirements against which future planning applications will be judged.
