Sevenoaks District Council will be consulting on their Regulation 18 draft Local Plan from 23rd October to 11th December 2025.
The new Local Plan will be the key planning document for the district and will guide how new developments are delivered between 2027 and 2042. The Local Plan proposes making the best use of sites within existing built-up areas, however, Sevenoaks acknowledge that these sites cannot deliver all the new homes required. Consequently, in line with Government advice, ‘Grey Belt’ sites or already developed Green Belt land in the most sustainable locations, will be considered to meet the housing target.
As well as new homes, the Local Plan includes proposals to support the economy by protecting business space and high streets and providing new infrastructure like school, shops, health centres and transport.
