
Residents, businesses and community groups across Tandridge will soon have the opportunity to help shape the future of the district as Tandridge District Council launches its consultation on the new Local Plan covering the period 2024–2044.
The consultation will open on Monday 6 July 2026 and run until Monday 17 August 2026, giving local people the chance to review proposals, examine submitted development sites and provide feedback on plans that could influence housing, employment, infrastructure and environmental policies over the next two decades.
From 6 July, all consultation documents, maps and supporting information will be available online through the council’s Local Plan website.
Local Consultation Events
To help residents understand the proposals and share their views, the council will be holding a series of drop-in events across the district. Visitors will be able to view submitted sites, ask questions, speak directly with planning officers and learn more about the Local Plan process.
The consultation events will take place at:
- Monday 6 July – Warlingham Library, 2pm–8pm
- Tuesday 7 July – Nutfield Village Hall, 4pm–8pm
- Wednesday 8 July – Hurst Green Community Centre, 3.15pm–7.30pm
- Thursday 9 July – Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre, 3.30pm–8pm
- Monday 13 July – Burstow Centenary Hall, 2pm–7pm
- Tuesday 14 July – Caterham Valley Library, 3pm–7.30pm
- Wednesday 15 July – South Godstone Community Hall, 2pm–8pm
Residents are welcome to attend any of the sessions during the consultation period.
Live Question and Answer Session
In addition to the local events, Tandridge District Council will host a live online Question and Answer session on Monday 20 July, running from 11am to 2pm.
A panel of council representatives and planning officers will answer questions about the Local Plan and the consultation process. Anyone wishing to submit a question is asked to complete the council’s online form by Monday 13 July.

From 6 July, residents will be able to:
- View consultation documents and maps online
- Find information about proposed development sites
- Submit comments and feedback on the proposals
The council is encouraging everyone with an interest in the future of the district to take part and ensure their views are considered as the Local Plan progresses.
