PLEASE NOTE that due the national restrictions that came in force from 5 November to reduce the spread of Covid-19, the consultation end date has been extended from 10 December 2020 to 31 December 2020.
Following the Regulation 18 (Stage 1) consultation that took place between April and June 2018, having taken into account the comments received, we have gathered additional information to inform the amount of development needed in the Borough to meet our development needs up to 2036 and where the development could take place. The draft policies in the Development Management Policies Document have also been updated and account has been taken of the changes in National Policy since the 2018 consultation.
Before progressing further, Gravesham Borough Council would like views on how and where to positively plan for the future. Regulation 18 (Stage 2) consultation will run for ten weeks from 09.00 Friday 23rd October to 17.00 Thursday 31st December 2020.
Submit comments via the council website – https://localplan.gravesham.gov.uk. On the following documents: Part 1 – Local Plan Core Strategy Partial Review and Site Allocations Document. Part 2 – Development Management Policies Document. Support Documents. Physical copies of the documents will not be available.
It is encouraged to submit comments online using the response form on the Council’s consultation webpage. If this is not possible, please download the relevant forms and either:
- email firstname.lastname@example.org or
- post to Planning Policy, Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, DA12 1AU.
Please ensure that your forms reach the Council by 5pm on 31st December 2020 as comments received after this date will not be accepted.
Please note that your comments, including your name, will be made public and provided to the Planning Inspectorate in due course. Comments received without sufficient information, will not be taken into account.
