Bloomfields Chartered Town Planners have successfully secured retrospective planning permission for the change of use of agricultural land to an equestrian use within the Kent Downs National Landscape.
Working within such a sensitive and protected environment required careful consideration of landscape impact, policy constraints, and incorporation of ecological measures to support the long-term enhancement and management of the land. Our team demonstrated that the equestrian use complemented the rural setting, delivered tangible benefits, and preserved the character of the National Landscape.
Being retrospective, we were able to argue that the application was exempt from Biodiversity Net Gain requirements.
This positive outcome allows continued equestrian use for our client.
