Bloomfields have successfully obtained planning permission for the conversion of a redundant outbuilding to a single dwelling-house in the countryside.

A robust case was presented that the conversion of the former stable building and hay loft would provide a good opportunity to re-use an existing building, even though the site is outside of the village envelope.

The application was supported by a building survey detailing the building’s capability for conversion.

In terms of the design, the existing building has an attractive rural form and the proposed alterations were carefully considered to ensure that the rural character of the building was preserved.
