Bloomfields were able to establish that a former agricultural building could have it’s use changed to a business one using permitted development rights. This was achieved through the Prior Notification procedure. Following this, Bloomfields made the case to demolish the former agricultural building which was in a poor condition and replace it with a new modern brick and timber-built facility. After some residence from the Council, Bloomfields armed with a Heritage Statement and some amended drawings were able to negotiate with the Council to achieve a very good permission indeed. Although the application was determined after the Council’s target determination date, Bloomfields were able to achieve their favourable outcome without having to go to appeal for non-determination. A great result.
