Dwelling supports a young couple’s lambing enterprise

Bloomfields has successfully obtained the permission for the permanent retention of a temporary farm worker’s dwelling to support the ongoing needs of the sheep and lamb enterprise run from the farm.

Bloomfields journey with our clients culminated with this permission, but also required obtaining planning permission for a 5,000 sq ft farm barn before the submission of the farm worker’s dwelling. This was necessary to show that the farm business was financially sound and there was good evidence that the business was committed to long term farm business operating from the site.

The full application was submitted with a comprehensive dossier of evidence and justification to unequivocally demonstrate the ‘essential functional need’ to live on site as well as providing a robust financial justification for the dwelling’s retention, based on a sound future business plan.

The application was excellently complemented by elevation drawings and landscaping plans provided by the Bloomfields Architectural Team, so much so, that the decision notice did not detail any design or landscaping conditions!
