Using the 28 day prior notification procedure Bloomfields was able to get confirmation that Prior Approval is not required to erect an agricultural barn on a farm in Kent. This has added to the infrastructure already on site to allow further storage of agricultural machinery.
In addition to this, an application was submitted to the Council to recognise that 15 mobile homes (in addition to 20 already on site), could lawfully be kept on site to accommodate agricultural workers. This subsequently approved proposal will be invaluable for the management of local orchards which are of paramount importance to the continued provision of British grown apples and pears to the general public.
The approach undertaken in both cases utilised methodologies that make the planning process quicker and easier than pursuing the full planning application route.
