Extra flat making efficient use of previously developed land

This unique application related to the infilling and conversion of a turning head within an undercroft serving a large mixed-use development at a former industrial estate to provide a ground floor flat.  Due to the configuration of the access road, the turning head was originally required for service vehicles and deliveries to turn and safely manoeuvre within the site.  Having obtained planning permission for another residential and commercial development on adjoining land, which included the provision of another turning head, Bloomfields successfully demonstrated to the Council that the existing turning head could be readily converted to provide another much needed home without any harm to highway safety as a result.
