After a ‘fall back’ position was established on site, Bloomfields made a full planning application for the conversion of a building in the middle of a farm yard to become a house, and to demolish an adjacent building, with both buildings located close to a Grade I and Grade II listed building. The result is one where our client is not required to provide a dwelling that works only within the confines of what can be achieved using permitted development rights, but the client also has more time now to develop this high-end conversion. The Bloomfields architectural team worked to provide a functional modern internal layout having regard to some tricky levels while maintaining the vernacular appearance of the building externally.
