Garden Extension into Former Agricultural Land

Planning permission has been secured for the change of use of a section of former agricultural land to enable a residential dwelling to extend its rear garden.

Bloomfields were asked to assist in this matter after the Local Planning Authority instigated enforcement action following an unauthorised garden extension.

Discussions were entered into with the Council and a carefully planned garden extension was proposed, along with the provision of boundary fencing and landscaping.

A strong case was presented that the development would result in a cohesive relationship with the existing property’s curtilage and that there would not be a detrimental impact on the rural character of the area.
