Bloomfields has successfully obtained planning permission for over 1,200m2 of greenhouse space at a well known Sussex nursery. The application now provides the business with over 1.25 hectares of covered greenhouse space to ensure the continued success of the family run nursery business.
Given the size of the greenhouse, the application was complemented with a Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisal, which provided evidence to support the application’s acceptability from its potential visual impact with the highly sensitive South Downs National Park.
The development was a much needed addition to the business which saw demand increase significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and when up and running will give the business just the extra space it needs to cope with this recent demand.
