Full planning permission has been obtained by Bloomfields for a new access drive to link up a Grade II listed gatehouse with the Grade II* listed manor house.
The former parkland of the manor house had been lost over the years and had reverted to an agricultural use. A Heritage Report was commissioned by Bloomfields to assess and justify the positive heritage benefits of the linked access drive, whilst a landscape architect was also commissioned to ensure that the drive could be designed as an enhancement to the landscape character. A thorough assessment of the existing and proposed access for the manor house was also provided to the Council to demonstrate that the new driveway would represent a highway safety improvement.
Bloomfields successfully project managed all consultants and pulled together their findings presenting them to the Council in an all-encompassing report, which led to the project being approved without delay and with no restrictive conditions attached.
