Significant Changes Approved to Listed Building

Bloomfields has successfully obtained combined Listed Building Consent and Full Planning permission for the significant redevelopment of a Grade II dwelling and its surroundings. Consent was achieved to demolish approximately 600m2 of farm buildings, stables and part of the dwelling and to replace with an extension to the Listed house, a holiday let with indoor swimming pool, additional ancillary accommodation with a new farm office.

The scheme provided for much in demand holiday accommodation as well as providing a wholistic improvement to the setting of the Listed asset with a net loss of 200m2 of covered floor area.  The scheme also provided improvements to the Grade II dwelling to provide a modern and family centric design with aesthetic surrounding landscaping.

The scheme was complex with several differing facets, however, with careful monitoring and ongoing dialogue with the Case Officer the scheme was consented, much to the approval of the conservation officer.
