Folkestone & Hythe District Council have re-opened the ‘call for sites’ as part of the preparation for its next Local Plan. This provides another opportunity for resident, landowners and developers to put forward land with future development potential for a variety of uses such as housing (including self-build plots and gypsy and traveller pitches), employment, leisure, community, open space or areas set aside for nature.
If you have already submitted a site as part of the previous call for sites then you do not need to resubmit the site or do anything further, provided details remain correct.
Sites need to be a minimum of 0.25 hectares or capable of accommodating five or more dwellings, or 500 sqm of employment floorspace. The council are particularly keen to hear about previously developed (brownfield) sites, however undeveloped (greenfield) sites can be submitted for assessment too.
Bloomfields would be pleased to assist with any site promotion, please do not hesitate to contact Associate Director, Ben Young, who is based at our Hythe office to discuss your requirements in the first instance. Ben can be reached on 01303 814 444, alternatively you can send a plan to info@bloomfieldsltd.co.uk marked FAO Ben Young.
Sites can be submitted until 5pm on 24th April 2025
