The emerging Sevenoaks District Council Local Plan is currently being reviewed to take into account new Government guidance as well as updated housing requirements, the challenges of climate change and changes due to COVID-19. As a result of this review, the potential suitability and availability of land for a range of potential uses is being explored.

A call for sites has been launched for local residents, landowners, developers, businesses and other interested parties to submit sites that may be able to accommodate the next tranches of development across the District. This will be happening in two stages:

Stage 1 – Submission of sites that are located within settlements, not in the Green Belt. This stage if now open.

Stage 2 – After the Stage 1 assessment, the Council will require the submission of sites located in the Green Belt to be made from 25 November 2021.

So if you think you have land that could be suitable for new housing or employment please contact Bloomfields on info@bloomfieldsltd.co.uk to discuss the potential of your site and how we may be able to best present your case to the Council. Based on the latest Government position this could include land that is already built on which could be redeveloped.
