Change of use of a redundant propagation glasshouse to a storage and distribution use, made under Class R

Bloomfields are pleased to have secured permission for the change of use of a redundant glasshouse to a flexible commercial use, falling within Class B8 (storage and distribution), under Class R Permitted Development.

Following relocation of the horticultural propagation business to another site, the glass houses had become redundant with little commercial interest in them.  The new storage and distribution use class will support their continued productive use as part of the wider commercial enterprise of the client.

Our submission demonstrated that the development met all the necessary conditions of Class R, meaning that prior approval from the Local Planning Authority was not required.
