Conversion and extension of redundant, detached storage building to dwelling within MGB and North Downs AONB

Full planning permission has been granted for the conversion and extension of a redundant agricultural storage building to a single residential dwelling, located within the Metropolitan Green Belt and North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Within the application, Bloomfields provided a robust case that the conversion of the building is in accordance with current national planning policy and that the proposed extension would not result in disproportionate additions to the original building.

As part of the application, we were also able to demonstrate that the reuse of the building would result in enhancements to the visual amenity of the local area and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whilst also adding ecological benefits.
