Having already resolved enforcement matters on site, Bloomfields subsequently prepared an application for the change of use of an agricultural field for dog training and exercising to facilitate the applicant’s new business venture.
In doing so, it was necessary to demonstrate that the site was suitably located for such use, made a contribution to the rural economy, and would not result in harm to the setting of the National Landscape (formerly AONB).
The team also worked with the necessary consultants to demonstrate that operations associated with the dog training field would not result in an unacceptable impact on the surrounding highways network, as well as that the scheme would provide for 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). Bloomfields worked with ecologists to ensure that the site complied with new legislation, and the relevant exemptions were utilised to provide enhancements that were as amenable to the client as possible.
After further negotiations with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Bloomfields are pleased to have achieved planning permission to facilitate a new business within the countryside.
