Bloomfields have secured permission for the erection of a detached residential annexe to provide ancillary living accommodation in Farningham, Sevenoaks.
Our clients had been advised by the local planning authority that due to the size of the annexe accommodation being greater than 40 sq.m it was contrary to Supplementary Planning Guidance and was therefore unlikely to be supported.
However, Bloomfields were able to successfully demonstrate that a larger annexe building would not appear overly large on the plot, it would have a satisfactory relationship with neighbouring properties and that the level of accommodation was necessary to comply with Lifetime Homes Criteria.
The granting of planning permission will now allow our client’s mother to reside at the site.
