New dwelling to support fruit farm

Bloomfields are delighted to report a successful application has been forthcoming for a new agricultural dwelling with a floor area of 200 sq m on a farm to support a top fruit operation.  This is understood to be the first of its kind whereby the functional need was recognised for the management of orchards and associated seasonal staff – where ordinarily, the functional need for agricultural dwellings is usually met when looking after livestock, mixed farm units or on plant nursery sites.  This is a fantastic achievement and progress for the industry having successfully debated the functional need at appeal and given the site’s location within the Green Belt.
