Successful application to restore listed building, including demolition and rebuild

After the applicant’s purchased a historic pest house which had fallen into a state of disrepair, Bloomfields were tasked with preparing an application to restore the building to its former glory. This included returning the brick and hung tiles to the original vertical weatherboarding, removing an unattractive modern extension and replacing it with a larger more sympathetic addition, alterations to the internal layout and the erection of a garage.

In the application, Bloomfields were able to demonstrate that the proposed works would result in an overall improvement to the setting of the listed building and as such permission was granted.
