It was great to see Director Tom Ogden being acknowledged in the report, with several of Tom’s concerns being touched on; including but not limited to, the increasing need for workers accommodation and changes affecting growing seasons which can increase the need for polytunnels and other infrastructure in areas where planning policy tries to restrict development.

This paper is the start of a continuing review into the way in which many rural planning matters are dealt with and now the start gun has been fired, we hope the RTPI keep the momentum going. A big thank you to all those involved so far for putting such an important issue under the microscope.
