Folkestone & Hythe District Council have granted retrospective householder planning permission for a property in New Romney.
The planning permission sought to regularise an upwards and wraparound extension, following the removal of the existing garage, kitchen, rear porch and chimney. The retrospective application followed two grants of planning permission for extensions and ensured that the plans aligned with the final detailed works. This planning permission will allow the future sale of the property.
The application was well received by the local planning authority who agreed with the arguments put forward by Bloomfields, including the minimal impact on the street scene and that the improved property matched local vernacular.
The evidence provided to the council enabled a swift and straightforward decision, which was granted within the statutory determination deadlines.
