Bloomfields used Class Q permitted development rights to achieve 3 houses on a site in the Green Belt, before amending the scheme to increase the size of the garden areas. After this, the team at Bloomfields proposed the redevelopment of an adjacent builder’s yard as part of an outline planning application. After considerable negotiation with the Council’s officers, Bloomfields had a meeting with the Council’s Chief Executive and Head of the Council to explain how the scheme would re-use brownfield land, help meet the Council’s housing land shortfall but also support a farming enterprise. 4 houses were approved under the outline application.
