Bloomfields has obtained permitted development approval for a new 350m long new farm access track to provide a brand new alternative access to the farmyard.
The existing track to the farm was narrow, bounded by steep banks and overhanging trees which meant any large agricultural equipment struggled to access the farm. The new access track provides a bespoke access, simply through the middle of two grass fields meaning our client can now easily access his farm with his larger farm machinery and equipment.
Bloomfields also provided further justification that the new access took these agricultural vehicles away from a Grade II listed building; the old track of which passed to within about 20 metres at its closest point.
The LPA determined the application within the required 28 days and that Bloomfields had provided comprehensive detail to show the operation of the farming business and that the track was essential for the successful and continued operation of a modern farm business.
The new access track was the first, but most important, ‘domino’ to fall to facilitate a larger farm infrastructure development project.
