Additional Rooftop Flat Approved in London

Having been approached by our clients after they received a refusal and dismissed appeal for an additional flat on the roof of an existing block, Bloomfields planning and architectural team worked to review the key design and amenity concerns that had led to these.  From there, we produced a new scheme which demonstrated to the Council how the development would integrate itself successfully into the street scene without harm to the character and appearance of the area, and how through the siting of the extension on the existing roof, the positioning of windows and introduction of privacy screens, the relationship with neighbouring occupiers would be acceptable.  Planning permission was subsequently granted for the revised scheme.
