Planning permission for the change of use of a 35,000 sq ft light industrial building to a B8 storage or distribution use has been granted by Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council following the submission of a full planning application by Bloomfields.
The current tenants had vacated the building, and the building owners were keen to widen the scope and interest of potential new occupiers of the building by way of providing a potential alternative use class for the space.
Liaising with Core Commercial, a commercial estate agency, it was considered that due to the size of the building and its impressive access to the local road network, the building would be best utilised for storage and distribution. A speculative application was submitted on this basis.
We are delighted to report that, with the new permission in place, a new tenant has now been found for the building.
