Class R change of use of a building in Faversham

Swale Borough Council has approved a Class R change of use on a building in Faversham, changing from an agricultural use to a flexible commercial class B8 (storage or distribution).

Bloomfields put forward a case demonstrating an existing agricultural use and a proposal which would meet the Class R regulations.  On this basis, the application was approved as permitted development under Schedule 2 Part 3 Class R of the Town and Country Planning Order 2015, despite several local objections.

The application was well received by Swale Borough Council, who agreed with the arguments provided by Bloomfields.  The evidence provided allowed a swift and straightforward decision, which was granted within the statutory determination deadlines.
