Bloomfields are delighted to have secured permission for 8 flood lights for use on an outdoor riding arena in a National Landscape (formerly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). This follows a previously dismissed appeal for lighting on site and after the Council, at one point, refused to determine an application despite having held a constructive pre-application meeting. Having engaged and managed specialist lighting consultants, Bloomfields set about demonstrating the importance of the lights to the business and the lack of harm to the wider landscape including protected species.
Despite a refusal after their application, Bloomfields were confident in the case they had made and given the importance to the business, made a comprehensive appeal on their behalf. This diligence paid off when the appeal was subsequently allowed. This successful appeal follows a range of successful cases submitted and managed by Bloomfields on behalf of their client, including the erection of a dwelling to support the equestrian centre.
