Prior approval was granted by Medway Council alongside planning permission for the insertion of windows to facilitate the change of use of a workshop and office building to a dwelling. Bloomfields had to justify and provide evidence to the Council confirming that the building was in light industrial and office use, rather than storage, in order for it to qualify for and comply with the Class MA permitted development rights. Alongside this application, planning permission was also obtained to provide windows for the building to ensure that enough habitable light would be provided by the change of use. Both of these applications were successful so our client now has a dwellinghouse to use or utilise a springboard for a more aesthetically pleasing scheme.
