Bloomfields has successfully obtained full planning permission for the conversion of a traditional Sussex Barn into a 3 bed dwelling, together with an attached modern farm workshop also into a single storey three bed dwelling.
Bloomfields and our architectural team provided a comprehensive design to ensure the traditional conversion assimilated into the adjacent more modern conversion.
The scheme was brought through the pre-app process with various amendments made as a result of feedback from the council’s planning officers. In addition, given the layout and internal restrictions of the Sussex Barn, further amendments were made during the determination period to provide an acceptable scheme to the Council.
Given the site was on the periphery of a working farm, it was necessary to negotiate a s.106 agreement which excluded the use of one nearby farm building for livestock.
The development has now been marketed for sale by Lambert & Foster and is soon to be sold.
