Bloomfields are delighted to have obtained planning permission on behalf of our client for a large scale mixed-use commercial and residential development in south London.
Following positive early engagement with both the Local Planning Authority and the Greater London Authority and working closely with our clients to their required brief, the project architects Fourthspace, and the wider consultancy team, the scheme was adjusted and refined prior to, and during the planning application process. It came to a point where Officers, through positive engagement, were able to recommend it for approval and after attending Planning Committee meetings, Councillors resolved to grant planning permission.
The scheme has optimised the site’s potential and will make best use of an existing brownfield site to provide new market and affordable homes in a highly sustainable area where there is a significant housing needed. The development will also provide high-quality office accommodation to meet modern requirements and replace inefficient and outdated buildings.
This scheme involved extensive collaboration across the project team and a large degree of patience during careful negotiations with the Local Authority. We look forward to seeing the development built out over the coming years.
